What is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching is a profession that is profoundly different from consulting, mentoring,

advice, therapy, or counseling. The coaching process addresses specific personal

issues, life and career goals, and projects. Coaching looks at an individual’s strengths

and success in the client’s personal life, relationships, and career. By examining what is

going on right now, we can determine what your obstacles or challenges might be, and

choosing a course of action based on your individual needs and the transitions you

choose to make.

What is Hypnosis?

First and most important, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. While in hypnosis, you are in complete control and will never do anything that goes against your morals or values. While in hypnosis, you are conscious and your senses are actually heightened. You will become more focused and open to new ideas as you relax, both mentally and physically. I use the natural state of hypnosis to help your subconscious mind identify the root cause of your limiting beliefs. You will adopt new, more positive and healthy beliefs so that you can be more in control of your life. 


We actually experience hypnosis several times throughout the day. You have experienced hypnosis if you've ever been absorbed in a book or movie, while day dreaming, or driving your car without remembering the entire trip. This is because your subconscious mind can multi-task in a way that your conscious mind cannot. Hypnosis is a completely 

natural state of mind where your conscious mind is relaxed, so that your subconscious mind is open to receive positive suggestions.

Can our work together be done through video or audio sessions?

YES! Both coaching and hypnosis can be done through audio, video, or over the phone. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind. Because you go into the hypnotic state every night and morning, it's very easy for you to practice hypnosis in the comfort of your very own home! As long as you can follow simple instructions and are willing to go into hypnosis, you can

easily go into that relaxed state. I have offered audio hypnosis sessions with great success. It is wonderful to already be home when your session is over so you can remain relaxed as long as you like.

Is there a difference between a stage hypnotist and a clinical hypnotist?

YES! There is a very great difference between these two professions that share a similar title and use the same tool, but for very different reasons. Stage hypnotists use hypnosis for entertainment purposes only. As a clinical hypnotist, I provide hypnosis audio and other positive psychology coaching techniques to help you understand and change beliefs stored deep within your subconscious mind that sabotage your success.

I have such a hard time turning off my mind. Can I really be hypnotized?

Contrary to what you may believe, the more intelligent you are, the more easily you go into the hypnotic state. You may be surprised to know that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Anyone who can follow simple instructions and is open and willing, can go into hypnosis. Just follow the suggestions and relax. The more motivated you are to change unwanted behavior, the more easily you can be hypnotized.

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?

No. There have been no reported cases where someone was unable to come out of the hypnotic state. You can come out of this state anytime you wish by simply opening your eyes. You cannot get stuck in hypnosis.

Will I be under your control or power?

You cannot be hypnotized against your will. You must want to be hypnotized in order to go into this relaxed state. You will never do anything while in hypnosis that goes against your moral code.

Is Hypnosis like sleep?

Although hypnosis may look like sleep, it is not. In fact you're even more aware of your surroundings because while in hypnosis, your senses are heightened. You will hear and understand everything that is said while in hypnosis.

Will I reveal secrets or say embarrassing things?

You will not reveal anything that you do not want to share. You are not required to reveal secrets and it is not necessary to your success. Remember, while in hypnosis, you are fully aware and in control. You never have to say or do anything you do not want to do.

Will I recall traumatic memories?

You will never see an event that you do not desire or are not ready to remember. If you do have a traumatic past, these memories will only come up if we first discuss your intention to bring them up to aid in your healing process. Hypnosis does not randomly search for repressed memories. It is only necessary to address information that is relevant to your goals.

Will you trick me into doing things against my will?

No, hypnosis does not trick your mind into thinking differently. You are completely in control and will never do anything that goes against your beliefs. You can reject a suggestion at any time. Your subconscious mind is like a computer; it runs off of the current programs (or beliefs) that are on its hard drive. I will take the time to understand the positive changes you want to make. I will use your input to recommend scripts that will "update your computer" so that you can live a more peaceful, happy life.

Can I be helped in one session?

Not likely. In some cases, a few sessions may be all a person needs to change a bad habit; however, to achieve long-term, sustainable change to release bad habits, critical thinking or unhappiness, you will most likely need 3-6 sessions for any particular issue. Because everyone is different, we will develop a personalized plan to address your specific needs and come up with a clear plan of action.
